    Safety sells!

This is applicable to so many devices.  My toddler twins took off on their trikes two days ago and go away from me.  There was nothing I could do but hope they did not get hit by a car.  Hope is not always useful!  I know that some amusement parks have this device installed on their go-carts but that is probably an expensive commercial device.

    engineering to advance

Maybe an engineer or mechanically-gifted member of this site could get together with you to further develop the idea. It really does sound like it could be applied to many forms of children’s conveyances. Maybe an “emergency brake” device that attaches to any axle and has a reasonably short (50 ft.?) range and uses a rechargeable battery?

I like the idea of collaborating. I had thought about a relay that would disconnect power to the battery. the consumer would just unplug the battery cable and insert the device in line then re-connect the cable. this would completly immobilize the toy. The parking brake warrents some consideration though, it would reduce manufacturing time by omitting the need to match a specific plug. Im sure there are many different versions of connectors that are used on these toys. thanks for the input.

Remote Emergency parking brake? I see a future for a full season of America’s funniest Videos replete with children flying through the air like feathers in a pillow fight after thier parents(or mischievous sibling) push the E Brake button. This is actually a merging of two different products to accomplish one application. Why dont you check into the RC(remote control) world- there has got to be a simple“Off” remote button in use already that could be remarketed fotr your use.
